A Hollywood movie shoot is taking over the streets in downtown Toronto near Union station.
Crashed helicopters and mangled transit buses were catching the eyes of those passing through the Bay Street and Wellington Street area throughout the day on Saturday.
Crews are in town filming “Suicide Squad,” a multi-million dollar Hollywood blockbuster, which stars Will Smith and Jared Leto.
Toronto has become a popular location for U.S. production companies to shoot movies because the lower Canadian dollar makes it cheaper to produce the films.
In 2014, $1.3 billion dollars was spent on location filming in Toronto, up 4.3 per cent from 2013.
Currently, there are 30 different productions being shot in Toronto including “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” and “Special Correspondents”.
