A man believed to be in his 20s is dead after a shooting at an east end townhouse complex early Sunday afternoon, a representative with Toronto Police Services has confirmed.
The shooting occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on Military Trail, near Neilson and Ellesmere Roads.
The victim was found without vital signs, according to Toronto EMS. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead soon after.
Police said two people wearing hoods were spotted fleeing east from the scene.
Officers were alerted to the shooting by an individual who was working at a home nearby, CP24’s Jackie Crandles reported Sunday.
A large part of the neighbourhood surrounding the townhouse has been cordoned off by police.
