Halton Police say one man has died following an "altercation" between two people in an apartment in Acton.
The victim, who hasn't been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, which is just northwest of Toronto.
Police would not say if any weapons were involved in the incident, and officers stopped short of calling the death a homicide.
No official cause of death has been listed but one man is in custody, said Halton Det.-Sgt. Murray Drinkwalter on Thursday evening.
"We are investigating the circumstances of a gentleman's death, but we do have a suspect in custody relating to the events here."
