TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays have signed pitcher Brandon Morrow to a three-year contract worth US$20 million.
There is a $10-million club option for the 2015 season.
The 27-year-old Morrow was 11-11 last season with a 4.72 earned-run average.
But the season also saw the right-hander set career highs in wins (11), innings pitched (179.1) and strikeouts (203).
On Monday, the Jays announced the signing of 44-year-old infielder Omar Vizquel to a one-year minor-league contract.
