Emergency crews responded to a four-vehicle crash that trapped one driver inside his car in northeast Toronto on Wednesday.
Toronto police said the crash occurred after one vehicle T-boned another at the Tapscott Road and Steeles Avenue intersection, east of Markham Road, at about 8 a.m.
Toronto EMS said a 46-year-old male was pulled free after having his legs trapped following the crash.
An Ornge air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to rush the injured driver to hospital.
The man remained in hospital with life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The roads re-opened Wednesday afternoon.
