The face of the Toronto Raptors franchise is making another video -- but this time, it won't be a ploy to get himself a spot on the NBA All-Star Team.

Chris Bosh has inked a deal with Warner Music Canada to produce his own DVD and CD, to be released later this year.

The DVD will be based on some of the comic characters Bosh has played in videos that he has posted online in recent years.

Most famously, Bosh played a used car salesman character in a video he used to promote his candidacy for the 2007-2008 NBA All-Star game.

His new DVD will also see Bosh take viewers on a tour of his hometown of Dallas.

The CD that Bosh will be putting out will be a compilation of some of his favourite music, along with some songs from unknown artists.

A press release about the Warner deal indicates that more details about Bosh's project "will be released in the coming months."

The DVD will be produced by the Raptors forward's company, Max Deal Technologies.

Bosh also announced that he will be releasing iPhone and iPod touch applications that will allow fans to track his basketball career.

"Entertaining my fans through the use of technology allows me to continue to try and pioneer the digital space for athletes across the world!" Bosh said in a statement released on Monday.

Bosh is one of the most tech-savvy athletes in professional sports.

In addition to his website, Bosh has posted more than 80 videos to YouTube and has a highly-active Twitter feed he uses to keep in touch with his fans over the web.

He has also provided a guest weather report for CTV Toronto and acted as a roving reporter for Jay Leno during the 2008 NBA Finals.

Bosh has played six seasons in Toronto since being drafted by the Raptors in June 2003.
