TORONTO - A disabled freight train, track equipment issues and other delays caused commuter headaches for GO train passengers this morning.

An inoperable freight train north of Old Cummer left the Richmond Hill line unable to serve the Richmond Hill and Langstaff stations on the 6:25 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. trains from Richmond Hill.

The trains instead originated at Old Cummer station and GO buses were provided for riders at Richmond Hill and Langstaff stations.

On the Georgetown line, the train that newly starts in Kitchener at 5:52 a.m. arrived at Union Station 10 minutes later than its scheduled 7:53 a.m. arrival time due to a track equipment issue.

It operated express from Bramalea to Union, so passengers at Malton and Etobicoke North were accommodated on the 7:06 to 8:01 a.m. Georgetown to Union train.

Passengers at Weston and Bloor were accommodated on the 7:38 to 8:17 a.m. Bramalea to Union train trip.
