The body found at the Sunrise Propane explosion site is indeed that of a missing part-time employee, Toronto police said Wednesday.
DNA tests have confirmed the body to be that of 25-year-old Parminder Singh Saini.
Saini reportedly came to Toronto from India near the end of last year to work and study.
He had been missing since the Sunrise Propane facility at 54 Murray Road in North York was rocked by a massive explosion and fire in the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 10.
The blast led to the evacuation of thousands of local residents, most of whom have returned home.
The Ontario Fire Marshall is still investigating the cause of the blast.
