ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Another patient with Clostridium difficile has died in Ontario's Niagara region.
At least 26 deaths have now been linked to the infectious bacteria.
The patient, a senior at St. Catharines General Hospital, tested positive for C. difficile and also had other health issues.
There have been 15 deaths at St. Catharines since an outbreak was declared in May.
Welland Hospital has reported six deaths, the Greater Niagara Hospital has reported four and Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital has reported one.
