Three people were sent to hospital after a suspected drunk driver crashed head on into a vehicle while driving the wrong way on the Gardiner Expressway.
Police allege 20-year-old Asim Khalil was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday when he collided with a van.
When police arrived on the scene it's alleged Khalil refused to take a breathalyzer test.
As police were investigating the crash, one officer had to jump out of the way as an unmarked police cruiser chased another suspected impaired driver.
No one was injured as the erratic driver sped through the accident scene.
It's reported he was speeding away from officers who attempted to pull him over during a ride spot check.
Khalil is facing charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and refusing a breath sample.
He is scheduled to appear in Old City Hall court on Tuesday.
