Two men have died after their motorcycle collided with a car in Brampton early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of McLaughlin Road and Sandalwood Parkway, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle, 31-year-old Damian Hanchard, and his passenger, 28-year-old Bevon Blair, were killed when their vehicle collided with the passenger side of the car, police said. The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the car were uninjured.
Police are asking witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.
“We’ve spoken to a number of witnesses but we’re always looking for more,” Const. Fiona Thivierge told CP24 on Saturday.
Investigators are checking whether the traffic lights were functioning properly and have not yet determined whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash,Thivierge said.
The intersection was cleared by mid-morning.
