Police have identified the victim in Monday's fatal Regent Park shooting as 18-year-old Yusuf Ali.
Ali suffered multiple gunshot wounds Monday afternoon. First responders found him in an alleyway near Shuter and Trefann Streets, just east of Parliament Street, at approximately 2:45 p.m. He was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The shooting temporarily placed a number of schools in the surrounding area in a hold-and-secure while police investigated the incident.
Police previously said that Ali was a resident of the area. The shooting happened after a confrontation involving a group of males.
Police are now looking for one suspect in connection with the shooting. The suspect was last seen wearing all black, including a hoodie, and was heading north on Regent Street.
