Officials say a fire that broke out at a home in Keswick early this morning caused more than $500,000 in damage.

It happened at the corner of Lake Drive and Old Homestead Road at around 2:15 a.m.

Georgina Fire Chief Ron Jenkins told CP24 Tuesday morning that the call first came in as a grass fire.

While crews were on the way to the scene, they were informed that it had escalated to a structure fire.

“When crews arrived we had two structures on fire the shed and the house that has been destroyed,” Jenkins said.

No injuries were reported.

The Office of the Fire Marshal will be called in to investigate.
