TORONTO - A woman from Toronto is facing a forgery charge for allegedly altering a Cash for Life lottery ticket.
Provincial police say a woman went to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. office in Toronto on Tuesday to claim the scratch ticket valued at $675,000.
The ticket was examined by OLG officials, who deemed it suspicious.
They referred the matter to Ontario Provincial Police, who charged the woman with uttering a forged document.
Sharon Hunwicks, 49, is scheduled to appear in court on April 22.
