Police want to speak to a teenager following a double murder in Scarborough's northeast end early Wednesday morning.

Investigators have not labelled the 16-year-old a suspect, but detectives believe he might have information regarding the fatal shootings of two men in the Kingston Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.

The incident began just before 4 a.m. when police were called to a home on Rylander Boulevard.

A homeowner said a burst through his door and into his living room, suffering from three gunshot wounds to the chest.

The victim apparently ran into the home at random because the front door was open.

As police taped off the area with crime tape, officers noticed a nearby SUV that had crashed into a tree. Inside was another man, slumped over the wheel, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The first victim had no vital signs when police arrived, while the second victim died en route to hospital.

Their names have not been released. One was 34 years old while the other was 43, police said.

Police are treating the two shootings as related incidents.

The teen that police want to speak with is described as a black male, about 5-foot-7, with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Squad at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or online at www.222tips.com.
