TORONTO - Two men have been charged with the alleged kidnapping of a man found badly injured in a ditch at the side of a Toronto highway in January.
Police say the victim was thrown from a moving vehicle on Highway 400 on Jan. 24.
Rajeentheran Kathigesu, 31, of Markham, Ont., and Vasanthan Nagarasa, 30, of Woodbridge, Ont., were charged Thursday with kidnapping and attempted murder.
Provincial police say they believe the incident is related to credit and debit card skimming.
The two men were also charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, possession of instruments of forgery, fraud under $5,000 and possession of credit card data.
Kathigesu was also charged with fraud over $5,000 and possession of a counterfeit mark.
Police also charged Fiona Abdulla, 26, of Markham, with possession of a counterfeit mark, fraud over $5,000 and possession of instruments of forgery.
