MILTON, Ont. - A cyclist is in hospital after she was struck while biking along a stretch of road near Milton, Ont.

Police say around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, a 53-year-old woman was cycling along Derry Road.

The woman was biking east and approaching an intersection when she was struck by a vehicle.

Police say the woman was knocked from her bike, but the driver failed to stop and the woman was left by the side of the road until a passing motorist stopped to help.

The woman was taken to hospital with injuries.

Police say they are looking for the driver of a Ford F-150, which would have the passenger side door moor missing.
