Thinking about snapping a wet towel in the locker room, or starting a textbook bonfire? It'll cost you, police are warning.
York Regional Police issued a "Frosh Week Expense List" on Thursday, warning new students of the cost of illicit activities.
"Frosh Week offers students a host of exciting new experiences," police wrote on the mock flyer sent out on Twitter.
"Unfortunately, some of those experiences may lead otherwise law-abiding students to make poor choices."
The poster lists "expenses" including the fines for getting sick on a fast food cashier ($65), and tossing empty bottles from dorm room windows (up to $5,000).
It also warns an unwanted locker room wet towel snap could result in a fine of up to $5,000, "and a nasty welt in return."
Students are also warned that "touching campus statues inappropriately" could result in a $5,000 fine and jail time, and could cost them their boyfriend or girlfriend.
"Starting a sociology textbook bonfire" can lead to fines of $5,000, jail time, or both.
"Drifting in your mom's Honda Odyssey: 6 demerit points and a 7-day impound," police warned.
Bathtub moonshine can cost up to $6,000 "and possible loss of vision," while shopping cart bobsledding can lead to a $170 fine and 6 demerit points.
At the bottom of the flyer, a message from police warned "#PartyWithCaution."
