York Regional Police have confirmed that a 34-year-old man is dead after a crash in Richmond Hill on Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to a call at approximately 4:30 p.m. after a York Region Transit bus and a car collided on Bayview Avenue, south of Major MacKenzie Drive East.
According to police, the vehicle struck the bus head-on.
The driver of the car, from Thornhill, and a 51-year-old passenger on the bus were taken to a hospital.
The man died in hospital while the passenger was treated and later released.
Police officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
