HAMILTON, Ont. - Hamilton city council is today considering another location for a new stadium to be used for the 2015 Pan Am Games and the CFL's Tiger-Cats.
A staff report recommends the stadium be built at the CP Rail yards, and that city officials be given until Oct. 12 to complete negotiations with the property owners.
The report says the rail yards appear to best meet the needs of the city and the Ticats
The football team balked when council decided last month to build the stadium at a downtown location, over an East Mountain site favoured by the CFL team.
Council then voted to look at other sites.
