MILWAUKEE -- Tonight's matchup of undefeated NBA teams between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors will be lacking much of its anticipated star power.
The Raptors said before the game that they are resting star forward Kawhi Leonard. The Bucks will be missing dominant Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been placed in concussion protocol after taking an accidental elbow to the head in the Bucks' last game.
The Raptors are playing the first of tough back-to-back games. They host the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night.
Leonard also sat out the first game the last time the Raptors played back-to-back contests. He missed Toronto's win 117-113 at Washington on Oct. 20 before returning for the Raptors' 127-106 win over visiting Charlotte.
Leonard, who was limited to nine games last season due to a quad injury, is averaging 26.6 points (on 50 per cent shooting), eight rebounds, three assists and 1.6 steals this season.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 25 points (50.8 per cent shooting), 14.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 blocks.
The Raptors will also be without second-year forward OG Anunoby due to personal reasons. Point guard Fred VanVleet (toe) is questionable, while guard Delon Wright (adductor) is expected to play.
The Raptors and Bucks enter the game with 6-0 records. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it's the first NBA meeting between two teams with records of 6-0 or better.
