Police have seized a large quantity of drugs, including 36 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $3.6 million.
The shipment of drugs was being transported on a tractor trailer that had crossed the Canadian border through Alberta, police said in a statement released Thursday afternoon. The drugs were "destined for the streets of Toronto," police said.
Photos of the seized cocaine show markings that resemble a star and a dolphin. The third marking was unrecognizable. Police also seized a quantity of methamphetamine during the investigation.
