A teen whose body was discovered in the Humber River Friday evening died of gunshot wounds, police say.

The victim, who was 17, was shot to death according to an autopsy.

His body was then dumped in the river, according to Toronto Police Sgt. Karthi Velautham.

A group of people discovered the teen's body between Finch Avenue West and Rexdale Boulevard while they were out for a walk on Friday night.

Police say they found no identification on the body, and they have no suspects yet in their investigation.
