Police have identified 27-year-old Min Yang of China s the victim of Toronto's 50th homicide of 2009.

In a news release issued Monday, Toronto Police said an autopsy found that Min had died of a stab wound to the chest following an argument with a co-worker at the Next Generation sushi restaurant that escalated horribly.

Police said the two staff members of the Annex restaurant got into an argument. They wound up in the kitchen where one man allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Min.

The victim was in Canada on a visa to study at the Ontario College of Art and Design.

Xu Wang, 25, has been charged with second-degree murder. He made an initial court appearance on Sunday.

Xu is reportedly here to study at the University of Toronto.

"The Chinese Consulate has been advised, as both the victim and accused are Chinese nationals," police said.
