Toronto police are looking for as many as six men who were believed to be involved in the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-man.

An autopsy on Tuesday revealed Allen Benn died from a stab wound to the chest. Police said there was no evidence he was shot, as had been reported.

Benn was summoned by several men to the stairwell of 40 Turf Grassway, in the Jane and Finch Area, at about 5 p.m. on Monday.

Police said he became involved in an altercation, and suffered multiple stab wounds.

Benn staggered in the parking lot before collapsing near the townhouse complex.

As many as six black males, all dressed in dark clothing, were seen fleeing the area, police said.

Emergency officials took Benn to Sunnybrook Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Security cameras reveal there were potential witnesses near the scene of the incident.

The death is Toronto's 12th homicide of the year.
