AURORA, Ont. - More charges have been laid against a man allegedly involved in a crash that ignited a debate over truck safety on Ontario highways.
David Virgoe of Innisfil, Ont. died June 18 when his truck rolled into a ditch as he tried to avoid cars racing on Highway 400 near Bradford.
A lengthy list of charges were laid against two drivers after the crash, 20-year old Prabhjit Multani and 19-year-old Nauman Nusrat.
The charges include criminal negligence causing death, street racing and dangerous driving causing death.
A third driver, 21-year-old Ravi Badhwar of Mississauga, Ont., was initially charged only with dangerous driving.
But police now say he faces the same charges as the other two men and is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Aug. 20 in Barrie.
