A million-dollar home belonging to the former CEO of Orrnge has sold and the Ontario government will want its share.

The Ontario government has a lien worth $500,000 on Dr. Chris Mazza's home on Blackdown Crescent in Etobicoke, which it can now collect.

The home was listed for $1.4 million and sold for a reported $1.3 million.

The government says Mazza owes it money for a series of loans issued to him by Ornge back when he was still CEO.

Mazza was given a series of loans worth $500,000, $450,000 and $250,000 from Ornge and he used some of that money to buy the house.

It was reported that the money was part of his compensation. He was already making $1.4 million per year when he received the loans.

The sale is expected to close Saturday.

Mazza is also listed as creditor in the Ornge bankruptcy hearing, which is ongoing.
