Two men were rescued near a marina in Burlington after their sailboat tipped over on Lake Ontario.

The men held on to the boat until help arrived Tuesday afternoon.

One was rescued by another boater, while police rescued the other.

Police say one of the men took off his life jacket and tried to put it in the boat to stop it from sinking.

The second boat towed the sailboat to the LaSalle Park Marina.

The two men were cold and wet but did not require medical attention once they warmed up.
