TORONTO - Blue Jays shortstop Yunel Escobar was ejected in the sixth inning of Saturday's game against Texas for arguing a call at first base.
Escobar jumped up and down in anger after he was called out on a ground ball up the middle, arguing with umpire Marvin Hudson that Ian Kinsler's throw had pulled Michael Young off the bag.
John McDonald moved from second base to shortstop and Aaron Hill took Escobar's place in the lineup.
It's the first ejection of the season for Escobar and the fifth for the Blue Jays, including two for manager John Farrell.
