Jesse Imeson is expected to appear in court Friday and faces two more murder charges, in connection with an elderly Ontario couple killed last month.

William Regier 72, and his wife Helene, 73, were found lifeless in their Mount Carmel, Ont. farmhouse on July 23.

Ontario provincial police say Imeson, 22, will be charged with two counts of first-degree murder in a Goderich Provincial Court on Friday.

He has already been charged with the murder of Carlos Rivera, a 26-year-old bartender found strangled to death on July 19 in Imeson's Windsor, Ont. apartment.

The three deaths sparked a two-week manhunt for Imeson, 22, before Quebec provincial police found him August 2 near the Ontario border.

Friends of the Regiers said the couple went out of their way to help others, and would have given the alleged killer anything he wanted.

"The senselessness of why this occurred is so confusing to us. Just absolutely senseless," Insp. Dave Cardwell of the Ontario Provincial Police said last week.

Police tracked down Imeson to a wooded area in Portage-Du-Fort, Que., where he allegedly broke into 10 homes or cottages.

He was chased into the woods by a homeowner. Police said he had a loaded weapon at his side when he was arrested.

Imeson's next court appearance in connection with the killing of Rivera is expected to be Aug. 27.
