TORONTO - The union representing GO Transit bus workers says negotiations with Metrolinx are stalled.
Amalgamated Transit Union local 1587 says if there's no agreement by midnight Sunday, workers will be on strike for the first time.
Union spokesman Ray Doyle says there has been no wage offer beyond a zero per cent increase from the company.
Metrolinx was reprimanded by the Ontario Labour Relations Board recently for trying to back out of an agreement with the union.
The agreement, signed last March, stipulates that all GO bus bargaining unit members were entitled to strike.
The union local represents 1,530 GO Transit bus workers.
