Former Toronto mayor David Miller has a new role at law firm Aird and Berlis.

Miller will specialize in international business and sustainability.

Miller will "assist the firm in the implementation of its international business development strategy, with an initial focus on its clean technology, energy and environmental practice areas," the firm said in a release.

The company said Miller's "experience, international activities and strong public profile" would create a significant opportunity for the firm to generate a larger international presence.

Miller is also an advisor to the World Bank and is on the board of the Suzuki Foundation and works with various international businesses on issues of sustainability.

While in office, Miller acted as chair of the C40 Climate Leadership Group, which works with mayors around the world to partner with the Clinton Climate Initiative.
