Mayor Rob Ford has again been accused of using his cell phone while driving in Toronto.
Ford's press secretary Adrienne Batra said the mayor was aware that "this information has come to light," but would neither confirm nor deny the allegations in a phone interview with CTVNews.ca.
"The mayor has been quite diligent about using his OnStar," she said.
The Globe and Mail reported Tuesday that Ford was spotted in his minivan by semi-retired business owner Sarah Barrett near Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue Monday, talking and then later dialling on his cell phone.
In July, a Toronto woman alleged the mayor gave her the finger after she asked him to hang up the phone.
Ford has denied making the rude gesture, claiming the woman's accusation is not "accurate" and that the entire affair is due to a "misunderstanding."
Ford did however admit that he had been on his phone, though he did not face charges from police.
Speaking or texting on a cell phone while driving is illegal in Ontario, and can bring a $155 fine.
