A fatal fire in Mississauga early Friday morning has turned into a homicide investigation.
Fire crews were called to an alarm in the building at 177 Dundas St. W., just west of Hurontario Street, at about 4 a.m.
Firefighters found 40-year-old Randall Hill without vital signs in an apartment on the second floor. He could not be revived.
Investigators uncovered information that has led them to treat the case as a homicide. Police wouldn't elaborate on the case.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday. Police have not released any suspect information.
Hill is Peel's fifth homicide of the year.
