York Regional Police say one person suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash west of Newmarket on Tuesday morning.
One person was trapped in a vehicle when the collision occurred on Davis Drive, between Keele and Dufferin streets, at about 7:10 a.m.
An Ornge air ambulance was requested to airlift the critically injured patient to hospital, but the helicopter was called off because the person was transported via land ambulance.
