There is a rivalry brewing between two unlikely fan groups – those who back the Toronto Blue Jays and those who like Taylor Swift.
The rivalry is being stirred up because of the so-called “Taylor Swift curse.”
Taylor Swift is currently in the middle of her world tour and has made several stops at stadiums throughout North America. But, after the pop-star performed in Washington, Houston and San Diego, the cities’ baseball teams all went on losing streaks.
Blue Jays fans have taken to Twitter, some telling the singer to “get out of Toronto.”
Regardless of what Blue Jays fans say, Taylor Swift will take the stage Friday and Saturday night, performing to a sold-out crowd at the Rogers Centre.
The Blue Jays will have to “shake off” the curse during their first playoff game on Oct. 8.
