A minor argument between two workers at an Annex sushi bar Saturday turned deadly when one man stabbed the other, shocking customers and staff at the late-night restaurant.

The incident began at about 11:30 p.m. at New Generation Sushi on Bloor Street when two workers got into a scuffle.

The fight made its way to the kitchen area where one man stabbed the other, said police, who added that the two staff members had no history of disagreements with each other.

The victim, who was in Canada on a visa to study at the Ontario College of Art and Design, won't be named until police can contact his family in China. Officials are currently working with the Chinese Embassy to do so.

Meanwhile, Xu Wang, 25, was charged with second-degree murder on Sunday. Wang is also a Chinese national in Canada on a student visa to study here. He is reportedly a student at the University of Toronto.

This is the second murder in the area in the last few months.

Sebastian Herrera, 23, was murdered in July outside the popular Brunswick House bar, just down the street from the sushi restaurant.

He was shot in the stomach, apparently in a robbery for his necklace.

Police arrested one suspect in that murder, and released security images of another.
