PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- A seven-month drug trafficking investigation called "Project Kingfisher" has rounded up twenty-eight people from Toronto, Durham Region, Hamilton, Peterborough and Lindsay.
Police say some of those arrested are believed to be major suppliers of cocaine and heroin.
Investigators seized two loaded handguns, cocaine, heroin and marijuana with a street value of over $430,000, a large quantity of cash and ten vehicles.
No names have been released.
