TORONTO - Paramedics say a second man is in critical condition after collapsing at a Toronto marathon today.
They say the two men collapsed near the finish line of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, half-marathon and 5K runs, and were both found without vital signs.
Paramedics say the first man, who collapsed at about 11 a.m., is in his 40s, and the second, who collapsed a few hours later, is in his 20s.
They say they were able to resuscitate the first man, and he was taken to hospital in what they describe as a life-threatening condition.
Paramedics say they resuscitated the second man using a defibrillator, and he was also taken to hospital in critical condition.
