TORONTO - A missing children's group is offering a $10,000 reward in the case of a Toronto girl who disappeared almost a year ago.
The Missing Children Society of Canada says it will be targeting the Greater Toronto Area next week in conjunction with the anniversary of Mariam Makhniashvili's disappearance.
The group is hoping the reward will prompt someone to come forward with information.
Makhniashvili was 17 when she disappeared after arriving at Forest Hill Collegiate on Sept. 14, 2009.
Her backpack was found a few kilometres from the school last Oct. 9.
