Police have released a photo and video of a man that may be connected to bank robberies in Etobicoke, Swansea, King City and Vaughan. They are asking for the public’s help to identify him.
The man is suspected of robbing four banks this year.
The most recent robbery took place in Swansea on Saturday, in the Bloor Street West and Windemere Avenue area. A man with his hood up, wearing sunglasses, a scarf and a hat, handed over a note explaining he was armed with a weapon.
Police say he demanded money and fled after he was handed the cash.
A similar incident happened the day before in Etobicoke’s Markland Wood area when a man walked into a bank in the Bloor Street West and The West Mall area with his hood up, wearing sunglasses, a scarf and a hat.
Police say he handed over a note explaining he was armed with a weapon and demanded money. He was given some cash and then fled.
Investigatos say these bank robberies could be connected to two others that took place earlier this year in February in King City and Vaughan.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s between five-foot-five and five-foot-eight with a slight moustache and a thin build.
Police were able to pinpoint a suspect after reviewing images captured by security cameras. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS or 416-808-7350.
