The only youth charged in connection with the shooting death of 15-year-old Jane Creba has been ordered to stand trial.
The man, now 19, cannot be named because he was a youth at the time of his arrest and his identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He will be tried on one count of second-degree murder, six counts of attempted murder and nine firearms offences.
Creba was Boxing Day shopping on Yonge Street in 2005 when a wild shootout erupted.
Caught in the crossfire, Creba died on the scene -- making her the city's 52nd gunshot fatality that year.
Three other adults, Tyshaun Barnett, 20; Louis Raphael Woodcock, 20; and Jeremiah Valentine, 25; also face murder charges connected to Creba's slaying.
Police affidavits filed in court suggest a scuffle between two gangs inside the Eaton Centre led to the full-blown street shootout outside the Foot Locker store.
The youth ordered to stand trial will return to court on Sept. 25
