Unionized LCBO workers and their supporters held a solidarity rally Thursday as a strike deadline looms.
Workers marched to the LCBO's headquarters on Lake Shore Boulevard East, where they held a rally over the lunch hour.
On Wednesday, Premier Kathleen Wynne said her government is not going to wade into the labour dispute.
More than 7,000 workers represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union are threatening to walk off the job May 17 -- the Friday before the Victoria Day long weekend -- if the union and LCBO fail to reach an agreement before then.
The employees’ four-year contract with the LCBO ended March 31 and the union says "very little progress" has been made at the bargaining table.
Earlier this month, the employees voted 95 per cent in favour of a strike mandate.
