If there is a record for the most temperature records broken in one week, Toronto may soon break that record as well.

The city's balmy weather set another daily record high on Wednesday, surpassing the March 21 daytime high record of 17.9 C, set on 1948.

Environment Canada said the mercury reached 19 C by noon and was expected to reach a high of 23 C by mid-afternoon.

Weeks of unseasonably warm weather has made record breaking a nearly-daily affair in Toronto.

Tuesday's high of 21 C broke the previous high of 18.3 C, which was set in 1976.

Monday's high of 22.8 C shattered the March 19 high of 19.1, set in 2010.
