TORONTO - Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei injured his left leg in practice Friday.

The 25-year-old went down during a training game. The MLS club asked that cameras be turned off while he was treated on the pitch.

Head coach Aron Winter halted the game and the rest of the players moved to the other end of the field while trainers worked on the team's vice-captain.

Frei appeared to be sliding for a ball when his cleats got caught.

Trainers pumped an air cast on Frei's leg before he hobbled slowly to the dressing room on crutches.
