Peel police are looking for two suspects after a teenaged girl was violently sexually assaulted at a park near her Mississauga high school on Friday afternoon.

The victim, who is 12 or 13 years old, was attacked at a wooded park at Darcel Avenue and Dunrankin Drive, in Malton, just after 1 p.m., police said.

The victim attends Lincoln Alexander Secondary School, located just blocks away. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It's not clear if her attackers attend the school.

A large section of the park was cordoned off on Friday as officers and police dogs scoured the area looking for clues.

Police have not yet released descriptions of the suspects.

Officers took statements from students and staff at the school following the attack.

A note will be sent home with students on Tuesday regarding the incident as the students have a PD day on Monday.
