The Special Investigations Unit is probing the death of a man who fell from a high-rise building in the city's west-end early Saturday morning.
The man reportedly jumped off the balcony of a top-level apartment at 1775 Weston Rd., south of Lawrence Avenue, as police were inside the building conducting an investigation.
The man apparently landed on the roof located above the building's entrance. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional information is not known at this time.
The SIU is a civilian agency that investigates circumstances involving police and civilians that have resulted in serious injury, sexual assault or death.
