Toronto police identified the victim of the city's 44th homicide of the year Wednesday after receiving a coroner's report.
Police labelled the death of Tina Picoulas, 19, of Niagara Falls suspicious after hotel staff found her body in a Rexdale hotel room two months ago.
On May 28, police were called to the Comfort Hotel at 445 Rexdale Boulevard. They found the women dead, but could not determine the cause of death.
But on Wednesday, police said a coroner determined the death was a homicide. They are not disclosing the cause.
Investigators need the public's help to determine who was with Picoulas prior to her death.
