TORONTO - A 4.5-metre totem pole has been stolen from Morningside Park in east-end Toronto.
Police are asking for the public's help in recovering the sculpture that was still under construction.
It was created through a joint effort between the Toronto and Regional Conservation Authority, the Scarborough Arts Counsel, a professional sculptor and students.
It is 4.5 metres tall, has a natural wood finish and has a series of carvings and engravings, including hands holding a globe covered with animals.
Police say it was stolen some time between Oct. 9 and Oct. 15.
