Corey Baird
ContactCorey Baird is a Multi-Media Journalist for CTV News Toronto. He joined the station in 2009, and continues to shoot, edit, and write stories for daily newscasts.
Baird has worked on both the east and west coasts of Canada for CTV, Global, TSN, Sportsnet, and The Weather Network. He enjoys the adrenaline, spontaneity, variety, and problem-solving involved in his day-to-day responsibilities.
Prior to working at CTV News Toronto, Baird worked as a Videographer for Shaw Communications and Eastlink. He also worked as a Multi-Media Journalist for The Weather Network in Halifax from 2003-2004.
A career highlight for Baird is the day he spent 13 consecutive hours on the CN Tower’s EdgeWalk, creating content that aired across Bell Media properties.
He studied at the Atlantic Media Institute, and was recognized as the school’s student of the year in 1999.
He speaks English.
